A couple of weeks ago we went to see a Lost Lecture – one of a series of talks being held around London. The idea is about moving traditional presentations from concrete venues into imaginative spaces and opening them up to the masses. The twist is that you don’t find out the location until a few days prior, making it even more intriguing.
The lecture featured six ‘enchanting’ presenters from all walks of life. Each spoke for roughly 15 minutes, providing the audience with an express insight into their unique worlds. My favourites were a modest guerilla gardener who’s beautifying London’s potholes, an eccentric but brilliant installation artist, and a former world champion female beatboxer.
The next series of lectures are scheduled for May. If you’re around, they’re definitely worth checking out.
Below are some pictures from The Pothole Gardener’s blog and a video of beatboxing Bellatrix. Have you ever seen anything, or anyone, so cool?!
